WHEN: 1943 APRIL 4; evening
WHERE: Callisto harbor, seaside
WHO: Eliza, Annika, Alex, Luciano, Blake, Laurel, Kingfisher, and the pirates (Tzofi, Risley, and Capt. Hastings)
--
[16:09] The ship that pulled into the harbor was large and wooden and obviously worn - repaired and rebuilt as needed. It had seen some shit, but it was sturdily built, perhaps magically enhanced to keep its shit together. There were no obviously piratical markings - the flag it flew was widely known as a simply merchant's trade alliance and the crates and barrels being unloaded onto the docks were all stamped with customs markings. Totally legit.
The crew, however, looked nothing LIKE merchants. Hats and arms and coats, tattoos and grit on their skin. They'd obviously been at sea a while. They were glad, though, to see "land" and ecstatic to see Callisto, with a few of them being rowdy enough that news reached the nearby Cannery of a "crew" having landed with "designs" to "take the island's... shops and pubs... by storm." Because they wanted booze and drink and shenanigans of course.
The three last to disembark were more careful than the rest, or at least less obviously disturbing. Shortest of them, dark haired and inked - or marked? - with the semblance of scales, the First Mate went to chat with the harbor staff to ensure all things and cargo were marked appropriately and on the up and up. Denoted by his feathery hat and fashionable red cloak, the captain made his way across the dock patting himself on the chest proudly as he took a deep sniff of the sea air. "Nothing like port landings, eh?"
[16:17] Tzofi had followed the Captain and the first mate off the large woman grunting as she listens to them both. Once her clothing probably was an acceptable shade of color, but now it almost appears rusty, stained in something. Her red tinged eyes look around, taking in the docks and the people coming and going, boredom clear on that stoney face. She towers over them and moves as though the seemingly real anchor strapped to her back is nothing more that tissue paper "Nothin' but a buncha fishbellah twats havin' a lookieloowho and the crew will be shitted and fucked all night, lttle pressy bitches" She grumbles down at the men, moving forth as she does.
[16:20] Eliza Windamier heard word from the grapevine of a 'tradeship' coming to Callisto. Like any good pirate, she was curious so she decided to head on out with her wife, her first mate, to the docks to see the coming of such ship. Fetching out her pipe and a small bag of some mixed 'herbs', she packs the end and goes to light it before taking a small puff, "Seems we have some geusts." she says to Annika as the ship arrives and soon comes the guests. Few more puffs come, holding in the herb mixed fix in her lungs for a moment to enjoy before letting it slip from her nose slowly into the air. The scent of opium among of other unknowns cloud around her.
[16:20] Luciano rocked his way up to the docks after his afternoon stroll and chores. Seeing the commotion of a new ship arriving, Luca meandered over and placed his hip on one of the dock cleats. Tucking his hands into his pockets as he observed from a somewhat safe distance. His crimson shades obscuring where exactly his eyes wandered... He did see a familiar face across the docks though. He lifted his head up and flashed a toothy smile at Alex. Giving a little finger wave towards them before turning his attention back to the new vessel moored to the island.
[16:26] Alex was only there by happenstance, having left the post office and now passing by the docks on their way somewhere else. They hadn't even heard about the rowdy crew who'd made port just yet, and their eyes lingered on the worn, wooden planks at their feet as they passed, rather than whatever might be going on around them. They only looked up when the glint of brass on Eliza's hip caught their eye, and the faintest hint of recognition tingled at the back of their mind, trying to recall where they'd seen the woman before. If they noticed Luciano at all yet, they seemed to give no indication of it.
[16:33] Keres went along with Eliza, mostly as usual. She had heard the ship coming in and docking, seeing as they were pretty close and well, their own curiosity for TOTALLY legit things probably had a lot to do with her getting out of her... totally Legit establishment. She gave the other woman a nod "I just want to know what they're unloading" she said with a shrug "Think its anything good?" she asked looking at those getting off the ship, she stood back and away from it and them for now "Think we... should have a look?"
[16:36] There were a few faces and fewer names that were familiar to most that crewed such vessels and sea or air, Eliza Windamier was among them. The Captain's eyes went immediately to the two women waiting at the top of the stairs, eyebrows raising as he held up a hand both to signal to the two immediate subordinates with him and to feign a little wave to Eliza and her SiC. "Well good early eve ladies!" called the Captain, smiling widely, almost amicably as he stepped forward to approach the pair. "Captain an' crew're looking for the best drinks in town. Have any recommendations?"
Finished with the harbormaster, the dark-haired young man turned to look in the direction the Captain was calling. His eyes narrowed a bit in scrutiny and wariness, both at them and at Luciano but he did not immediately follow the Captain. Instead he turned to Tzofi. "What d'you think? How many back with the ship for now? I don't mind staying," he offered to the Quartermaster, half-turning to keep an eye on the docks. A silvery stare landed on Alex and their missing arm curiously before zipping right back to the two women.
[16:44] Tzofi scowled out at the faces about them. It didn't really matter to her if there were onlookers. There always were, but her job was to make sure the ship and it's crew were in tiptop shape. It's what she did after all. At the Captain's signal, she gives a dissatisfied grunt and steps forward, her heavy brine and iron scent washing over the first mate "Getcha ass moving Rigg, Who knows what bullshit the Whale's gonna get us in now. I gots some boys still on board, they are on wash duty, ain't forgetting that last...adventure no time soon" There is a flash of extremely sharp teeth, before the Wall is bouldering forward. She's a damn juggernaut after all.
[16:50] Eliza Windamier gives a side look to her right to see someone to her right. A new face, one she hasn't seen around. At least in her part of town. She looks to her left to see Alex coming on over. She seems to recall them from the night of the living dead. Interesting. Her lovers words snap her attention to her as she takes another puff from her pipe, "Maybe we could. Be something worth for the business. Plus I've heard of him. Be worth dealin' with." As Cael calls out towards her and Annika, a small smile forms, "There you go luv. A bridge has been formed." she says softly to Annika before she gives a wave to the Captain, "That we do. You and your crew are welcome to the Cannery!" she takes a step forward to stand by the wooden beam that sticks out from the dock floor., "All merchants and traders are welcome at the Cannery." gives a nod to Tzofi and Norcliff
[16:54] Luciano chuckled after seeing Alex's non-reaction. Digging into his pockets and withdrawing a single cigarette from his pockets. Placing it in his mouth and lighting it up with a dingy zippo. He continued to just... Blatantly eavesdrop and watch. Adjusting his flat cap and shades as he rocked from foot to foot. Occasionally lifting his hip off of the rough dock cleat and rubbing his side. Beneath those shades, his attention seemed to follow Risley. Tilting his head from side to side as he mulled over a few thoughts in his mind.
[16:57] Alex wandered a bit closer to the two women standing at the top of the stairs, but their attention seemed to have shifted from Eilza, over to the individuals down on the dock in front of them with a thoughtful expression. Their sight lingered on the young fellow with the dark hair and tattoos for a moment, then up to the imposing topless woman, before continuing on over to stare intently at the ship. That's where confusion started sinking into their features, their brows knitting and eye narrowing as their lips quirked to one side. They wandered up to stand next to Eliza then, as though completely oblivious to the piratey customary greetings and recognitions that happened to be going on between the two groups. "Hmmm... wie seltsam..." they murmured, slender fingers rubbing along their pale chin.
[16:58] "Bailey" Jermyn hummed softly to herself as she made her way down the street, a bit of a skip in her step as she went. She was thinking beach now, after spending all that day hiking in the woods; she wanted to feel sand between her fingers, salt spray on her face. Maybe find some interesting seashells or little crabs or something... But as she ventured down the boardwalk, she paused, her head cocking. Something a bit more interesting than crabs had hit the docks; a great big ship, and this one looked so fancy and interesting compared to what usually docked here! Immediately, she swung on her heel, pivoting to take a closer look at the ship, the people who were debarking from it, leaning forward onto a post, taking it all in with sparkling blue eyes.
[17:06] Capt. Hastings let out a craggy laugh, rough with a throat worn by exposure to salty sea air. "All merchants and traders eh? You hear that lads?" he called to the others of his crew still unloading the ship. There was a rousing "AYYYYYYE" from the definitely-legit-merchant crew, followed by a grumble when they realized that they'd have to finish with the heavy-lifting first before getting sloshed. Ah well. Capt. Hastings nodded and gestured at the docks. "Well we thank you greatly for the hospitality ladies. Please, lead the way. We'll be happy to patronize your fine establishment," he said, happily following if the two decided to head to the Cannery.
Risley hung back a little bit, as if he could feel the eyes on him. While looking at Luciano he said, "Not strange. Merchants dock all the time," to Alex before turning his eyes to them and making contact. "Join us for drinks," he said, unlinking. Alex could likely recognize the tingle of another mentally-gifted person... but it was hard to distinguish if he was reading their mind, trying to make contact, or... trying to tell them what to do. It WAS a compulsion, just a hidden sneaky one. (Fight it or notice it if you want Ditto) Then he was turning to follow the Captain and the ladies to the Cannery, saying, "Don't think any of them will forget the last one anytime soon," over his shoulder at Tzofi as they walked. Once they came close enough to Luciano he tilted his head, pulling his lips back into a smile that showed fangs for the briefest moment as he walked by.
[17:07] Keres stood by Eliza as the ships crew walked towards them. She couldn't help but give a bit of a smirk at Eliza mentioning the Cannery, she kept on grinning as she gave the ships crew a nod "Drinks, Food... Entertainment of the worst and best kind" she looked over to Eliza again and gave her a bit of a knowing look before whispering under her breath "As long as you don't ask question" she bit her lip and went back to looking to the crew and ship "Hrm... Nice ship..." she said raising a bit of an eyebrow "All of that patchwork, seen some rough seas?" she asked with a bit of a chuckle at least able to see it probably had a few holes put in it. She looked to the others starting to gather around as well before sighing a bit. She had been too busy getting that place up and running to really know anyone yet but she wanted to change that too but for now she just looked to the newly disembarked Captain and his crew "No need to answer that now... in front of everyone either..."
[17:18] Tzofi just gives a shrug of her shoulder to Rigg's comments "They bettah not be forgettin'. They be owin' me new gear, buncha cockless fucks, thinkin' they'd get our goods for themselves. Me and Burt, had a damn good time convincin' em otherwise" She spits out, her voice rouch and not at all melodic. She's looking over each of the gathered people, her mismatched gaze oddly dead and hungry as it stares out at them all. The closer she gets, the stronger the smell gets, old blood mixed salt and cheap rum. Her steps barely halt as they get up to the Captain
"Don't be carryin' on again Old Man. You'll die of a heart stop sooner or later. You promised me a good ole fuckin' meal when you did" She scoffs to him, not in the slightest bit polite or deferential to her own Captain, or Riggs, or anyone else. "Who ain't see rough seas lately, all them softpricks think they got control of all the routes, and haved figured the 'mysteries of the sea' out..... all a buncha bollocks" She spits to the side, and than sees the smaller woman standing there "You gonna gape or you gonna come and getcha eyes all a'rollin with awe huh pipsqueak?" She calls out to Bailey
[17:20] Eliza Windamier looks between Alex and Risley for a moment while listening to her lovers whisper. She breaks her attention from the two look towards Annika, She would smile towards her in answer to her look, "Right this way. We're not to far off." she gestures to her right pointing in the direction of the said Cannery. Funny enough when they get there, they only have two security guards, or bouncers, which happen to be the two zombies she kidnapped that night. But they got patched up and looking better than before. Also dressed. Staff wise there be some NPC staff and such there to serve and such. "Seems merchants like to attract attention." takes another puff from her pipe once more letting the drug and all fill her lungs. Looks to Tzofi and Bailey for a quick moment before she makes her move to head for the Cannery.
[17:21] Luciano looked right back at Risley as he flashed that smile. Flashing a smile of his mundane pearly whites right back. Canting his head to the side as he continued to simply -ponder-... His eyes didn't break from Risley as he walked by, though. Tucking his hands back into his coat pockets as he mused over his next move. Chewing on the inside of his cheek as he held his tongue. He could almost be confused for someone who was -reserved-, and not the loudmouth he actually was.
Eventually as they continued on, Luca pushed off the dock cleat and began to follow. His curiosity getting the better of him as he made his way to the cannery as well.
[17:28] Alex almost responded without thinking when Risley told them it wasn't strange for merchants to be docking at the port. "No, it's just that there's nothing-" They cut themselves off with a blink when they noticed the dark-haired lad trying to catch their eye, and felt an increasingly familiar sense of intrusion, from their time spent with Roesler, tingling at the back of their mind. They couldn't tell quite what it was though through their inexperience, and simply nodded along with an uncertain hum to the invitation. "Oh, ahm... I suppose..." And then they were following towards the Cannery with the crowd, eying Risley and his tattoos with evident curiosity along the way.
[17:29] "Bailey" Jermyn's eyes went wide as she heard the voices of the people on the ship, that sea-roughened growl, that unmistakable cant... Oh. Oh FUCK yes. These were some genuine, true-blue PIRATES she was looking at, all they were missing were eyepatches and parrots. Now this? This was EXCITING. This was wild and crazy and fun and above all else, NEW. Hadn't she just been thinking that she needed to do something different with her life, try something she'd never tried before? Well, looks like lady luck had brought her stumbling straight into exactly that... She couldn't just let this one go.
A delightful squeal as she hops to her feet when Tzo calls out to her, giving the giant woman a great big sparkling grin. "I'm along for the ride if you'll have me!" So saying, she fell into step with the rest of them on their way to the cannery, so light she was almost bouncing. A tiny wave was tossed to Luca as she went, though considering she'd only really interacted with the man both in her dreams and as a boy, she didn't expect him to recognize her.
[17:31] Keres smirked again looking to Tzofi for a second "You I like" she chuckled out loudly for a few moments before looking back to the crew and moving a bit closer to the Captain to try and not scream what she had to say "Hrm... whatever happens in there stays in there,,." she said pointing towards the Cannery "If I take anything seriously its probably that much at least... people are free... well those who matter are free at least... so, you dont have to worry about a thing... just have some fun... we'll feed you and get you drunk if thats what you want" she gave gave them another smirk "As long as you dont all turn into the moral police and get offended by our idea of fun you are welcome to let us do that..." she others were saying they were coming too, the more the merrier... she looked to Eliza start to make her way there "Well lets go then"
[17:37] The "merchants" were a raucous group. Some of them were already drinking from flasks as the sunlight wore on and it became darker out, easier to hide that they were guzzling down something on duty that gradually left that end of the harbor stinking of booze. Capt. Hastings chuckled as Tzofi chided him for his age, waving a hand at his Quartermaster. "Oy now, I can hold my liquor well enough! Just keep that god-cursed tequila out of my mug. This heart runs on rum and ale," he boasted, beating his chest with an open-handed BAP. He didn't seem to mind that his crew were collecting 'companions' for whatever drunken party they were marching to. He did, though, smile widely once 'Annika' spoke to him.
"Oh dear lass, we've tasted all sorts of varieties of fun. Doubt any flavor could offend," he replied with a tip of his hat. "And I'm sure we can find a bit of mutual arrangement that benefits both proprietor and patron, eh? Can't be indulgin' on your dime and feelin' right about it." He flicked something that looked like a gold coin up in the air and caught it in his palm before holding it out to their host as they walked. Capt. Hastings tipped his hat and removed it once they actually entered the Cannery, moving to take a table off to the side so he could properly... talk, as Risley paused to study the two obviously undead-zombo corpse guards with open curiosity.
"And this isn't attracting attention?" he quipped in Eliza's direction before going to the bar and leaning, waiting it seemed for people to join him as he perused the bottles on display. His eyes shot over toward Tzofi and the... little lady she'd goaded into joining them. "Don't break her too quick," he said with a sly little grin.
[17:47] Luciano entered into the cannery and gave a nod to the two zombie guards. Feigning ignorance as he made his way inside. His right hand drifted inside to his coat, fishing around within... Really he was checking all his weapons were in order. His fingers brushing across two distinct shaped grips. He disguised his little gesture by pulling out a thin hankerchief. Plucking his shades off and polishing his lenses with both hands. Taking a long look around the interior of the building...
"Hm, I thought this was an actual cannery..." The man mumbled to himself.
He turned his head back down and found the nearest seat. Settling in at the stage and putting his head back. Tucking his glasses around the collar of his shirt, his eyes now visible as he settled in to staring at one spot in space.
[17:49] Tzofi There is a glare over the shoulder at the 'Merchants' as the Captain and First Mate make their way to the Cannery, Tzo's eyes narrowed and cruel "I find out even one bitta that cargo is broken, stolen, fucked on, or messed with in anyway.. You'll be havin' words with Burt. And you know how happy he be in having words with you" She runs her finger over the anchor strapped to her back and than strides past, stopping just for a moment to look down at the small woman that seems so excited "C'mon than pipsqueak, lets see if you have the cojones to outdrink the Wall, than maybe we'll be seein' if ya worth keepin' round" She growls before stalking after the others.
Keres' comment as they walk pulls an utterly depraved matching smirk "Don't be thinkin' I asked if ya did or not, but laa-dee-fucking-da I'm so pleased to hear that" She snarks, making a motion as though the mountainous woman is gonna swoon before she's to the door and ducking to get inside, actually ducking and turning sideways, cause that boating equipment is not leaving her back yet.
"Fucker, you can hold your licquor as well as you can hold your own dick nowdays, that bein' all ya do with it anymore. You ain't a young minnow anymore" She tells the man as she settles at the bar, her legs spread and taking more space than she needs "Awww Rigggsy, My sweet sweeeeet lionfish, That's just asking the Ocean to not be salty.... They like to break themselfs on me anyhow"
[17:53] Alex's eye widened sharply and their lips parted in a small, quick gasp at the sight of Brute, their zombie friend from the graveyard so long ago, playing bouncer by the door of the Cannery. "Mein Freund! Ich bin so froh, dass es dir gut geht." They beamed as they hurried up to wrap their arms around the obviously dead man in a warm hug, giving him a pat on the shoulder, before continuing to follow Risley over to find a seat at the bar. "This place is... cozy?" They mused, having also previously thought the building was a literal cannery from the outside. "Your names is Riggsy?" They finally asked the dark-haired lad after they'd regained their focus from wandering around the dancers and cages on the edges of the room, having overheard the taunt from Tzofi.
[17:57] "Bailey" Jermyn raised her eyebrows as Annika professed to have an interesting 'idea of fun,' only growing more curious and excited for whatever charnel house of horrors she was blithely skipping her way into. This was probably all KINDS of dangerous, but fuck, who cared! Besides, the tall man who seemed to be the captain was all kinds of hot, with that big old tricorn cap and fancy jacket and age-worn features... Not to mention the little guy with the teeth... and the giant lady with her tits out for all the world to admire... Damn, weren't pirates supposed to be super horny when they docked ashore after months at sea with only Rosie Palms for company? Boyyyyyy, did Blake ever hope so.
Once they were in the Cannery proper, her eyes went wide. How the hell had she never been here before?! Had this really been a seedy strip joint this ENTIRE TIME?! Well. Fuck. Hopefully they were hiring, she could start up the old stripping career again... Man, this was the best day ever! Everything was coming up Blake! At the bar, she gave the tender a great big smile once they had noticed her. "I'm thinkin' rum today!" Rum. Because pirates. Wheeeee! She offered her wild manic grin to Riggsy next to her. "Hi I'm Bailey I like your tattoos."
[18:04] Keres looked to Capt. Hastings and chuckled "Hrm... those two" she pointed to the Zombies "Hrm, the decided to dig themselves out and cause some trouble, think of it as cheap labor... or recycling and saving the world... I don't know... they chose their fate and it just didnt end well for them... you could bury them in a shallow grave and hope they dont crawl out again... or I can just use them to send people causing head aches where they deserve to go" she shrugged "Kick them out... and send them on their way with all of their limbs... obviously" She looked around to those that came in giving Luciano a nod "It used to be... obviously in a place like this... we still can some... things" she looked around "So food... drinks... We have meat... and I cant guarantee that all our drinks are meat free either" she shrugged "Slaughter house drain pipe might've been hooked up wrong... but who cares as long as you forget all of it ever happened the next day, right?" She looked to Tzofi "Hrm well you sounded fun at least a bit... But I dont know if people every told you not to fuck with those who are feeding you... or those who keep the booze running" she shrugged and raised an eyebrow "You talked about outdrinking anyone here, so go ahead... get started,,," she said with a smirk, leaving a pint in front of the woman "we'll keep it coming..." she turned to Alex giving her Bouncer a hug "You two know eachother?" she asked with another chuckle "I'll warn you, he started leaking..." she shrugged and looked to Bailey "Rum huh... sure... we have that... " she said thinking out loud "Anyways, yeah... just make sure you put in your orders and I'll have someone bring it over..." Eliza had gone down in the basement to check on the seedier side of this place "The food is good but for the record... I'm sure it'll be something new for some of you..."
[18:09] Capt. Hastings settled into one of the plush chairs and leaned back, taking a deep inhale and heaving a sigh of utter relaxation. "Ah, the smells of enjoyment. Fine place you have," he said to 'Annika' with genuine appreciation in his voice. He tracked down one of the passing servers and ordered himself two fingers of dark spiced rum before turning his focus to enjoying the show on stage. "Meat eh? Well. I'd love a platter for the boys to enjoy. Something heartier than fish. And I'd be happy to compensate, no need to make it all... generosity, though that's SURELY appreciated." He leaned forward, putting an elbow on a knee. "From what I hear there's quite the bounty on this island, after all. I can see where you'd like to share," he said to 'Annika.'
Risley, for his part, twitched when he heard Alex calling out the nickname he so hated to hear. Sucking his teeth, he leaned back and put out a little pouch that CLINKED when it landed on the bar. "Nope. It's RISLEY. Maybe you heard Rigger. They say that too, onboard. I'll take the rum on my tab. And some Everclear. And whatever the German drinks - what, schnapps?" he said with a head-tilt at Alex. Then he was quiet for a moment. Risley had, perhaps, been working some illusory magic here and there to ... relieve The Wall of her top and braziere, hence the multiple comments abour her tits.
[18:18] Tzofi flashes that same sharp-tooth smirk Annika's way, shrugging one of her massive shoulders "Oh I be pissin' off all the hands that feed me and and pay my wages. They keep me bout anyway, Imma just all sorts of useful to em" That bottle is spotted and there is a sharp laugh, all jagged edges and rending flesh in the sound... as she grabs it and starts to toss it back, some of it spilling down her lips, tangling down her dark fleshed throat with the vivid blue krakens and trident inked into it. She guzzles and guzzles without taking a breath, slamming it down and wiping her mouth on her sleeve.
Or what should have been a sleeve, but hey it seems that her shirt has vanished, at least from sight, if not from touch. There is a narrowing of mismatched dead eyes at Risley, staring him down, calculating if she wants to get up and make a deal of it, before she's distracted by Bailey's bouncing about and ordering rum "Ohhh yaaaaaa tha's the way to the cap's old bleeding heart" She grouses, stripping off the invisible shirt and tossing it at Risley's head. The chair under her is creaking. The weight of the large woman... and her companion is definitely not something that chairs usually want to handle.
[18:19] Annie was just a normal human for the most part, dancing on a pole. She had some cuts and bruises that were mostly healed but still a little visible, Some of which might look like scratch or bit marks that had obviously gone in deep but healed over. For the most part despite the few scars she looked good enough to be up there... but she wasn't all there almost as if she was an empty shell just doing what she... well was doing at the time...
[18:19] Luciano glanced back to Keres and gave a nod as she explained to him. The realization slowly dawning on him as he realized what exactly the clientele of this place was. He dropped his head for a second... And then shrugged. He felt pretty comfortable surrounded by people who could make a decent go at tearing his throat out. He looked back over to the bar and stood back up. Pushing off the chair and walking over to the bar. Raising up his hand and swinging it down abruptly to -slap- Bailey on the ass as he walked by. Taking up a spot at the corner of the bar with a smug, stupid grin.
He propped his elbows up on the bar and clasped his hands together. Leaning forward as he lowered his tall and slender frame down to a more equal height with the rest of them. He looked up to the bartender and grinned. "Six shots of vodka. Spread them around to the others, thanks." He looked towards Alex after that comment. "Actually, make that five. Get that one a water, I don't think he's old enough to drink." He pointed towards Alex and snickered softly. Covering his mouth with a hand after and stifling his amusement.
[18:25] Eliza Windamier soon returns to the Cannery entering through the back door cause there totally a back door here. After handling whatever business she had to deal with, she places her self by Annika's side still smoking that pipe of hers. Golden eyes scan over the room slowly to see the place packing, "I guess we can call this our...grand opening?" she says softly to Annika as she relaxes and takes the moment to soak in everything thats going on.
[18:32] Alex nodded quickly back to Keres with a soft smile about Brute the bouncer. "Oh, yes. I met him back in the... erm..." The sanatorium garden, but perhaps that was better left unsaid. "Eh, it's not important..." They muttered, leaning forward to rest on their elbow with a tired look on their gaunt face, before casting an uncertain glance to Risley when he explained his name and asked what their poison was. "Oh, Risley is a very handsome name. And erm... I don't drink too often. Whatever you recommend, I suppose." Luciano's comment earned... nothing at all from Alex. Not even a glance in his direction. for all intents and purposes, it was as if they couldn't even percieve his presence. It would seem they were *very* good at ignoring unwanted attention from years of practice with phantoms of all stripes.
[18:32] "Bailey" Jermyn's eyes kept wandering over to the captain as he settled in, making sure to flutter her lashes coquettishly if he ever looked her way, though her head swivelled around to Annika as she described the food and drink situation. "Meaty... Drinks, huh?" A laugh. "Sounds delicious, just like my old man used to make back home." Despite the oddness of the comment, she continued to wiggle and bounce by the bar, eagerly reaching for the rum as it slid across the bar into her hand and dropping a couple of coins on the table in exchange.
Once it was in her grasp, she noticed the now DEFINITELY topless Tzofi catch her eye, mention the captain. "Oh, IS it no-OW!" A sudden jump as Luca's hand smacked into thankfully the unbitten side of her ass, the sound of shock swiftly dissolving into more giggles. Oh yeah. She was DEFINITELY getting laid tonight... "Hey sexy," she said to Luca as he settled in beside her, "gonna shiver my timbers?" That was terrible and she wasn't sorry at all.
[18:33] Gonzo (odontoceti): Kingfisher had ostensibly been stuck tying off their own ship, but truthfully, they'd left the deck an hour ago to scope out the selection of other freshly-docked ships. So they were late. The others were a rich sort, real big types if their boat was anything to go by. Could be worth raiding before they catch notice. Great. And if the sounds coming from the bar were anything to go by, they made an easy target right about now.
Question is, do we want treasure or trouble. They stride into the building, and their tone is flat, deadpan. "Who's running the ugly sloop parked out front?" They look around the room, and their eyes settle on the one with the largest hat. "We've been trailing you the past week. You stole our prize. You've got one chance to make it up to the captain here. Make it count."
[18:40] Keres smirked to the Captain, giving him a nod and had one of the other girls that were all sort of there, if only looking kind of drugged or drunk out of their minds to go and get what the Captain had ordered. Food and their drinks. The demoness giggled a bit, knowing where all of that MEAT came from and what was in there but she wouldnt spill those beans in front of everyone "You'll like the sausages, they're fresh" she added before turning back to the woman at the bar "Hey I like the attitude, is I meant, you don't seem like the kind to take shit and you sound like someone who enjoys it... so many people pretending to be tough and then pretending like they don't have fun doing what needs to be done... I can at least kinda tell that you like it,,," she chuckled again and moved back to Eliza who made her way back "Everything working ok?" she asked "Dont need that stuff to break down now that we have people in here... hungry people" she sighed and looked over to Luciano "Hrm... people here do whatever they want if something happens well, they deal with the consequences..." she shrugged "The only rules that matter here" she looked back to Tzofi who had her shirt off now "See, like that... everyone get as naked at they want... shirt and pants optional" she got cut off by Gonzo's entrance "That... That's not happening in here..." she did have bouncers, the BRAIIIINNNSSS type, she wasnt against people fighting it out but ya know... she was having fun here...
[18:44] Capt. Norcliff Hastings got up with his rum and sauntered over to where Kingfisher had made their entrance. His hat was in his free hand and pressed to his chest, something like sheepishness or apology on his features. "Oh, now... I am so sorry you missed out. The seas are unkind sometimes, you know," he said with a rumble that matched the waves outside. The water seemed to get a bit unruly, waves higher and more violent as he stood there, Aetheric energy working its magic on the sea. One would hope Kingfisher's own ship were moored with enough stability. "Perhaps we could be persuaded to share some of the bounty to be had here. After all, it's a big island. And o' course, current ladies have already staked their claim. And offered hospitality." He tipped his head in Keres and Eliza's direction.
[18:46] Risley 'Rigger' Fiske slid the vodka shot from Luciano over to Alex with a pointed look at the red-spectacled man. "Here. Vodka isn't too bad. Bit watery mind... stronger stuff exists," he said with a raised brow. "So. Necromancer? Someone with that sort as friend anyway," he said with a nod to Brute, who seemed absolutely tickled to have met Alex again. He was grumbling and tippy-tapping his feet like a happy dog. Bailey's awful, awful pun garners a squint and a shudder. "...that, burns worse than the Everclear. You ever actually hung with a pirate, little lass?" He was... talking through a shirt. Like it didn't exist. Like he was going to pretend a dirty, blood-stained shirt wasn't just hanging on his head that smelled like the Quartermaster and days at sea.
[18:49] Eliza Windamier eyes drift over to Gonzo when they scream out about the machine out front. Hearing Annika's words she leans in close to her, "Yeah. Though may have someone to feed our...bouncers." she says still eyeing Gonzo. Finally she speaks up with a much louder voice, "That ugly 'sloop' as you called it is mine. You saying you been stalking me for a week? Cause if so all you had to do is come here to find me," assuming the stranger is speaking about the Vanship outside the business. Looks on over to Norcliff and to Gonzo once more curious to see what goes on since Annika gave the warning. Bouncers Brute and Beatrix, the two zombies she kidnapped and fixed up, are our lucky bouncer sof the joint. Reaches up to take her pipe from her lips to gently hold to the side.
[18:52] Tzofi sprawls a bit deeper into the chair as the shots of vodka are passed out. She downs that along with the rest of the alcohol that's put in front of her. It doesn't seem to even phase her, taking in drink after drink, chewing on meat slurries that might come out. "Why the fuck should I pretend to like it. If someone pisses me off, I tss 'em the fuck overboard and give them to the sharks, paltry meal that they be. They ain't my Mama, who'd cut 'em to shreds and they sure as shit ain't my Daddy, cause you figure that Bastard's name out, and I got a dubloon for ya to cut ya teeth on. Barin' that... they can all fuck all the way off. These chucklefucks are'nough to deal with"
She hears Kingfisher enter and make his claim, hears her captain head over that way. There is a Sigh...and a swipe of another drink... bigger than a shot as she hauls her very large self to her feet, heavy breasts not even fully hidden by her hair. What kinda mermaid would she make
[18:54] Luciano smirked as Alex refused to give him the rise he seemingly wanted. Letting out a chuckle as he opened his mouth to speak more absolute muck... Until he heard the commotion brewing in the middle of the speakeasy. Instinctively, the mans right arm slid back into his coat pocket. Wrapping around one of his weapons as he kept a wary eye on the situation. He watched Tzofi push off and did the same, turning about and resting one palm on the bar as the other remained within his coat. That smirk of amusement turning into a grin of *excitement* at the situation rapidly escalated.
[19:00] Laurel looks down directly at Kingfisher. There's a small barrel under one arm and she mutters under her breath a common family curse."A Dhia na trócaire." There's a tired sigh. "Took the words right out of my mouth, Kingfisher." When the Captain presses his hat to his chest, she smirks. "So very kind, but we don't need scraps, not when there's more to be had, hmm?"The question is followed by a look at the bar, moving over the mentioned pair of women in the back with a polite nod. Right until she hears it's their ship, not the Captain Hasting's, then there's a chuckle. "Feed your bouncers, what are they dogs? Or are your people just as drug addled as the entertainment? I've certainly got something they can put their mouths on." She points down before looking to Tzofi, giving her an up nod. "You certainly don't look like dog." She clicks her tongue. "But are they feeding you? Girl your size always has to be hungry for something more than what they have. Though if you'd rather get in a fight, well, I'm hardly one to turn down a good old fashioned handshake." The smiles she gives doesn't quite reach her eyes with any of the traded barbs, simply going through the motions as she offers her arm to Tzofi.
[19:01] Alex cast a smile back over their shoulder and waggled their fingers to the excited Brute as Risley asked them a bit about their abilities, glancing back to the dark-haired pirate then with a hapless shrug. "Not really. He just protected me from some malicious spirits. I can't really do much, aside from... seeing and feeling things. I am trying to learn though. This is all just... very new to me." They'd admit sheepishly as they took the offered drink and knocked it back quickly, wincing at the burn and sighing. "And yourself, Herr Risley?" They asked, unbothered or unaware of the commotion stirring nearby.
[19:01] "Bailey" Jermyn cheerfully downed the shot of vodka as it slid over to her, then went on to the rum. Oh yeah. Workin' up a good buzz already... An eruption of giggles at Risley's horror at her pun, laughing even harder as she looked over at him and saw he was being treated like an impromptu coatrack, and she turns to him with one of her glittering, thousand-watt grins. "I'll be here all week, folks... Fuckin' love Everclear though, good taste. Gets ya plastered and makes good emergency first aid in a pinch... Anyway, naw, ain't had much've a run-in with pirates before, 'least not yet. Wanna help me change that?" Was she just, flirting with both him and Luca while the other was RIGHT THERE? Damn, that alcohol must have hit hard and fast...
Thankfully, Luca seemed more interested in the fight that was inevitably about to break out between Captain Sexy and the new short redhead captain that had just come in... Fuck, if redheads weren't another weakness of hers, and did that whole CREW have red hair?! Well, either meant she could enjoy the fight and try to go home with whoever won. Boy, tonight was going GREAT!
[19:11] Kingfisher stares over at Eliza as she pipes up, uncomprehending. Another look out the front door, and they see the...what is that, exactly? "Would've been a shit job at stalking if you've been here all week. No." As Tzo walks up to play the intimidation factor, Kingfisher just continues to stare blankly, even though their full field of vision is taken up by tits now. They can feel the sea reacting, becoming more wild, but they're not concerned about the captain's play of weather, nor their own ship, really. As Laurel speaks, they nod assent. "Save your charity for a crew that needs it. If we're both here for the bounty, though, it sounds like you've got competition. How confident are you in your crew?" They look up at Tzo, then to Laurel. The enormous anchor on Tzo's back gets a skeptical glare. "Wouldn't you like to join the winning team?" They offer Tzo something that's...almost a smile? It's kind of like a smile.
[19:12] Keres kept an eye on what was going on, everything had been going well and people were probably about to fill their mouth holes with other people or other people's mouth or other holes... who the fuck knows what sausages and hot dogs are really made of anyway, these were just a bit more spicy... a bit more demonic? whatever, People were just getting drunk and losing clothes and It felt like a good time, why did people have to burst into her place and start fighting now that the place was filled up with people... Sigh. She did look over to Tzofi stand up, she sorta kept going a bit as if nothing was going on for a bit "If you had a choice... toss someone over and feed the sharks or just suffer the assholes... which one makes you happy? What if you didnt have any assholes, you wouldn't LIKE to have one just to toss overboard? come on be honest..." she smirked "What gives you the most enjoyment? peace and quiet or the screams on an asshole going flying starboard?" she chuckled again looking over to those who decided to barge in "Looks like you might have a few assholes to toss overboard... or do whatever the hell you want with them... I said this place really didnt have rules right?" she wasnt much of a fighter herself but she was an enabler... and even if she really didnt want all of this to turn into a fight cause it fucked with her shit... well she couldnt help but pick a side and try and set a fire under the whole thing...
[19:16] Eliza Windamier brow lifts. She eyes Laurel for a moment before a small smirk forms, "You're right. I should feed my. bouncers." hearing Kingfishers words and soon Annika's own, she sighs out before she waves a hand, "Clearly red here thinks my bouncers need to be fed. So I offer this on the table." with her pipe she points at Laurel and Kingfisher, "I'll pay double the bounty to who ever feeds these two to my bouncers." she was curious to see who would take her up on such an offer. It was one thing coming in this place to start a fight but it was another to get into her business about Annika's and her business.
[19:16] Annie kept dancing... eyes still empty, maybe drooling a little... no one was really home.
[19:19] Capt. Norcliff Hastings eyed that barrel carefully the moment Laurel walked in with it. "There is indeed much more than scraps. And that wasn't what I was offering, though... unfortunate you take it that way. No politeness in the pirate game anymore... everyone with their posturing and barbs these days." He tsk'd behind his teeth and shrugged, taking a step-back and allowing Tzo to take more of the floor with her considerable... self. Even the Captain knew to get out of Burt's way, and he was busy slowly flooding the ship Kingfisher and their crew had so painstakingly tied at the pier anyway.
[19:19] Risley 'Rigger' Fiske finally removed the shirt from his head and got to his feet. "Malicious spirits hm?" he said with a nod. "Sounds like a good friend to have, 'specially around this place. IF the stories're to be believed." But there was a bounty being offered, and Tzo and the Captain looking to get in trouble... so Risley sighed and left his bag of coins. "Looks like swabbie time with the pirates'll have to wait. Ship'll be 'round a while, you two. If you want to come by." Then he was squaring up with his crew, one hand taking a dagger and twirling it around via the handle.
[19:22] Alex sighed softly as Risley was pulled away to deal with some troublemakers with his crew, and slipped from the barstool as well. They moved to head around the edge of the club, giving the potential violence a wide berth as they made to slip out the door before they were caught in any crossfire.
[19:23] Tzofi meets Laurel look-over her with very similar dead eyes. It's not human-like, not in the least, but there was likely very little question that a woman carrying an actual anchor like it's a backpack is not human. A slow smile spreads across her face as she looks over the much smaller female, stalking forward slowly, getting right up into her space, that scent of old blood and brine clinging to her. She bends down a good bit, pressing her face near Laurel's ear and barks "Bow Wow Wow" before raising back to her impressive height and laughs "I ain't been a girl since you were likely a hunk of sperm trapped in your daddy's little bobbers. They don't need to be feeding me, I make my own food, and while these two fucks are a pain, I'll be keepin' em. The Old Whale owes me a good meal and I'll be taking it up with him when the Locker calls him down. I'm the real patient type ya see. Got myself a nice lil gift all wrapped in a drunkard's bow"
She cracks her neck, the sound of vertebrae settling back into place snapping loud in the air, her shoulders rolling, causing that anchor to rise and than fall "Naaaaa Peace is a lie. All those little lambs baaaaaaing as they fall fall fall. Baaa Baaaaa. Little stupid bleaters. All they are good for is nomming on their bones" She says to Annika before Kingfisher decides to try and play pleasant and convince her. There's another loud crash of noise that is trying to portray itself as a laugh as she considers it "Winners, Losers, fuck that shit. You ain't figure out yet, none of of win diddly squat. You get one bouty, I get another, You sink one ship, I sink another. The Locker's the only winner.. and Little Boy Blue.. You aint Davy Jones"
She flicks both Annika and Eliza the finger, in a way that might almost be pleasant, or as pleasant as this not-pleasant woman can get, before she's stepping forward towards the door. If the others don't get out of her way, they might find themselves crushed beneath her mass "Thanks for the booze bitches, Take ya up sometime on the assholes to toss. Riggersby, Old Whale, your asses comin'? Or you gonna play Plotty Stabby Whiny with Tweedledee and Tweedledum here?"
[19:26] Luciano took a deep breath and withdrew his right arm from his coat. Seemingly going under the radar as he fell to one knee and pretended to tie his boots. His hand slid up his ankle and grasped the trench knife strapped inside his boot. Withdrawing it as quietly as he could, before rising back up and attempting to conceal the blade behind his back. Shifting his arm around as he watched Tzofi suddenly -leave-... Well, he didn't expect that.
A sigh of disappointment escaped his lips. Keeping that knife behind his back as he waited for the first 'shot' to be fired. Still unclear which side he was going to join in this heated exchange of words.
"I was -really- looking forward to the orgy too..." He cracked wise. A small smirk on his face as he waited patiently. His fingers lacing through the knuckled grip of his blade as he tapped the blunt end against his back.
[19:28] "Bailey" Jermyn flagged down a waitress to order some more rum, and this time one of those DELICIOUS smelling sausages! Smelled just like home... She gave a wink to Risley as he headed off to deal with the brewing brawl, and a little wriggle of her fingers. "You will? Sweet, I'll be around later, alright?" Maybe her hopes and dreams of getting crazy pirate laid would come true after all. So saying, she turned to Luca. "Goddamn, yeah, me too. Aren't pirates supposed to be like super horny when they get to shore? I was hoping they were all gonna run a train on me... But hey, at least you're still down, right? Things get hairy we can slip out the back. Anyway, pick your guys. Who do you think's gonna win this, the redheads? Or the others? My vote's on the others, they got that brick wall with titties on their side, I wouldn't wanna fight her in my worst nightmares."
[19:36] Laurel holds out the barrel to Kingfisher and twists her neck. "Take this so it don't get broken, yea? Last thing we need is..." Once more a sigh before she turns back to the Captain, tired smirk still on her face "Yea? Polite pirates...Are you sure you're not privateers? Bought and paid for? Can't say I'd met a polite pirate yet. Here I thought this was the path of blood and glory, but you know. I'm not above trying something novel instead of the old ways, maybe you'd like to try something new too and I'll try this give this polite thing a shot." With Tzofi moving past , her focus moves back to the others. That does make the fight more fair, but she keeps to the course. "Have a few drinks, and if what I got isn't the best, or at least the fastest thing to get us all on ours asses, then we can go back to fighting, and you can take out your hurt feelings just cause my tongue's a little sharp for your tastes."
[19:36] Keres sighed, there was more booze, food and other fucked up things to be done and had but she was back there just frowning as people decided to either square up or leave... or leave without punching anyone... she looked to Eliza and shrugged before whispering "Humans are weird" she figured most of there were human... maybe... at least some of them were,,, she just looked on from where she was standing, she did give the 'brick wall with titties' a nod though, because yeah that one was kind of fun, the asshole tossing might've of been fun to see so really she was just torn between wanting to see SOMETHING fly and the party they had going not ending with people with extra holes that werent the fun kind...
[19:41] Eliza Windamier lifts up her pipe to Tzofi as a form of farewell. her focus draws to the four to see if they will fight it out. Who will win? The Reds or the Whales? She was curious and whatever the case, whoever loses will become zombie food for Brute and Beatric. Annika's sigh is caught she gives a look over to Annika, "That they are." takes some steps back to join Annika. She taps her pipe against the counter to dump out the ash before slipping the pipe away. A hand moves to rest on her hand just in case. "Well look at this way luv... its free entertainment." she grins.
[19:51] Kingfisher lets a wretched little smile cross their face as Tzo chatters about the Locker and good ol' Davy. They can feel the water creeping into their ship. So that's how it's going to be. Their head turns to follow Tzo out, and as she heads for the door, they look outside. Both the ships are rocking, and Kingfisher's is set low. Though as they watch the motion of the waves, it looks like Captain Hastings' ship is suffering some waterlogging of its own, its position growing less and less steady. Water works its way through the cracks in the wood, finding the weak points in the tarring, and they jab a thumb in the direction of the docks, out the door. "Think your politeness's out there, Captain. S'it just me, or is there a storm rolling in?" Rigger's met with that same wretched little grin that hasn't faded yet, plastered on like a piece of wet paper. "Listen to the captain. Give the drink a taste. We'll all take some, see who's got the strongest stomach." They take their own dagger and plunge it into the cask Laurel's brought, and it definitely shouldn't be opened like that, but liquid starts spewing out, and everyone'd better find cups quickly.
[19:53] Capt. Norcliff Hastings was not typically one to back down but he did do a little tut-tut at the idea of being a privateer. "Blood and glory can be well-mannered, you know," he said with a little sigh. He rolled up a sleeve and grasped his wrist, veins puffing in both arms as he yanked and wrenched and pulled - until his whole damn arm came off in a gout of blood and a "GGGRRAHHHH!" from the Captain. "Consider - this a show of good faith. MY crew's more than happy to pay for the generosity, and a share of the fortune you're sitting on here," he said to the two women. He tossed the arm to the hulking monster of a bouncer, the blood from inside his jacket dripping spatters onto the floor until the flow slowed. His free arm dunks the rum glass underneath the flow of whatever it was that was in that cask and he drinks THAT down before swaggering out after Tzo. "Sure Riggs'll handle the rest, think I might have a thing or two to see to at the ol' ship.... but I'm sure we'll see to this again." And armless, he went to leave the building after Tzofi.
[19:54] Risley 'Rigger' Fiske did not twitch or start when his Captain just... ripped his arm off. In fact he smirked, relaxing a little as he sheathed the knife he was twirling. "Even those two wouldn't want my meat," he said with a snort of a laugh. He leaned back against the edge of the bar, downing another long sip of his Everclear before snagging a flagon from the bar and following suit to take a drink out of that cask of probably-awful grog. It was a good thing he had a decently strong stomach.
[19:57] Tzofi saunters out of the building, her body free flowing. She can smell the blood behind her, but it's a comon enough occurance... The Captain did promise her enough meals after all. The ship gaining water seems to cause her to chuckle, amused all in all. Sink it to the bottom.. one will find the ship.. is harder to get rid of than it seems.
[19:58] Luciano watched as the two came to an -amicable- solution. Letting out a long groan, no orgy AND no fight??? He knelt back down and slid his trench knife away. His mood now considerably more sour as he watched the grog now flood into the room. Huffing harshly and crossing his arms as he stood back at the bar. Not acknowledging Bailey's proposition just yet.
[19:59] "Bailey" Jermyn gave Annika a wink and a fingergun when she grinned at her description of Tzofi. What could she say? When she was right, she was right! As soon as that cask bursts open she's grabbing every empty glass on the bar, scrambling over to fill it with free booz, giggling as she did. "Dude! Check it out! Free booze!" Maybe missing that delicious copper tang, but hey, free was free, right? "This is HOLY SHIT YOUR ARM." She stared, wide-eyed and open-mouthed, at the Captain as he just yanked that shit RIGHT off without a single flying fuck like a fiddler crab... Okay. That was.... Impressive? Frightening? Weirdly arousing? She'd have to worry about those feelings and the implications therein later. For now she just shrugged and chugged from the free-flowing tap. "Ok see ya later I'm gonna drop by your ship some time!" she called out to the departing pirate crew, hoping that maybe THEN they'd eiffel tower her or something. Hearing Luca sigh, she offered him one of the cups she'd just filled and drained. "Hey, WE can still brawl and then fuck like rabbits, right?"
[20:04] Laurel's face transforms into horror at Kingfisher stabbing the barrel. "What are you-?!" And then the Captain is ripping off his own own arm. She just stands there, all thought processes blue screening. The sound of waves overrides all else in her mind. The ever-present high pitched ring from her tinnitus actually drowned out by the sheer confusion. Then words spill from her, a string of incomprehensible Irish, before the flow stops. She nods, expression a smirk once more, like she's not having a mental breakdown in the middle of the bar. "Kingfisher...we need to talk." She waves goodbye to the others. "On the ship."
[20:06] Eliza Windamier makes a meh sound as she grows disappointed. The sudden arm was offered which she find interesting that he done such but really, she wanted to see someone die, specially Laurel. "Well." lightly taps her gun few times before she looks to Annika, "Not the grand opening I was hoping for but I guess it was some business."
