Synopsis: Delilah spies someone inside the previously empty and idle Cannery and feels the need to investigate.
=================
EXT: Cannery - Morning
[11:19] The Cannery sits in silence during the daylight hours. The massive building asleep as the others in town spark to life with souls coming and going. Inside the Cannery Eliza stands in silence looking over the place since her and her mate had gotten the deed for it. The place cleaned up and all, it for now remains empty for the day as it awaits to have its floors come to life with fresh souls to visit its world from the otherside. In hand is a glass of reddish color wine that she gently twirls about to have the liquid turn inside all the while eyeing the place as many thoughts of various kinds swirl in a maelstrom in her head.
[11:31] Delilah Harper-Windgrace idly made her way down the harbour with her hands in her pockets, aiming ostensibly for the store, though she wasn't the one opening it today, so she was in no rush. As she passed the glass fronted doors of the Cannery, however, she caught sight of a figure inside. The place had sat empty during the majority of her time on the island, so this caught her attention, and she moved over to the door for a better look, a part of her amused as she thought about the irony of a wolf with the curiosity of a cat. Head cocked to the side, she took in the person's wardrobe...the coat, trifold hat, obvious cutlass at their hip...and Lilah couldn't help but chuckle. "This becomin' a theatre? Someone must be puttin' on a play of Treasure Island..."
[11:37] Eliza Windamier indeed continues to wear stuff from the past. A lot of clothing styles from the 1910's and perhaps further back. Though old they were well kept to the point they almost looked new. If Delilah was into the local news and all, she may have read about someone that looks like her arriving in a giant airship weeks ago. Whispers of the harbor master being uneasy with her arrival may have spread as well. After taking a moment to look over the place, she turns to face you. Her ghostly color eyes lock to yours. Cause of the teeth-like mask around her lower face, it's hard to tell what sort of emotion was going on with her if any at all but her eyes stare at you almost as if she could see straight into your soul.
[11:47] Delilah Harper-Windgrace: Delilah noted the look in the woman's eyes...there was something there. Something she couldn't quite put her finger on. Rather than flinch, as it may have made a mortal do, however, the red haired Scot shot the woman...she was pretty sure the figure was a woman...a bemused half-smirk. Delilah's eyes would seem to be a rather normal blue-eye colour, though as she smiled, a flash of their true shimmering gold could be seen. She'd heard the talk around the harbour front...maybe this woman wasn't an actor after all.
[11:52] Eliza watches Delilah for a moment from the semi darkened room of the Cannery before she begins to move forward towards the doors. Each step making a light chime of metal making contact with the wood. Coming up upon the door she reaches to pull it open to take a step outside. "May I help you?" voice thick with an English accent though it held very little emotion to it. Very mono. Those ghostly color eyes fall back to you though thanks to the sunlight, her eyes look more like the color of those who are blind. Colorless - milky. "Here seeking employment? or looking for some goods for your business?" assuming Delilah is here for one of the two. Cannery business or Pirate business.
[12:05] Delilah shifted to a more casual stance, her hands still in her pockets, as the woman stepped out into the sun. She took in the interesting variety of scents wafting off her, but came no individual one much mind, for now. "Nae, neither Ah'm afraid. Just got a thing fer cuiriosities," she said, her thick accent layered with the bemusement of her expression. Her eyes moved over the woman. After noting the other interesting items on her belt, as well as the jewelry on her fingers, she added, "Och, where're ma manners...Delilah Harper-Windgrace. Ma kin have a shop two doors down the harbour, at the next intersection. Ah come this way most every day, sae it just caught ma eye someone bein' in here...the Cannery's been empty fer a while. Woud ye be the new owner then? The one what put the fliers all 'round town?"
[12:12] Eliza Windamier takes in the accent of the woman for a moment as she goes through her memory of where it could be from. "I see." with that she turns to look in said direction of the shop thats mentioned. "If your kin ever need any goods for their business feel free to come seek me." she turns back to you once more One said hand rests on the sheath of her sword but in a non-threatening way. More of a place to rest her hand. And the other continues to twirl the wine glass letting the liquid inside spin around. Her fingers having various rings all over as well metal armored like claws on them. The fingers that were colored are black as sin. Tattooed? Who knows. "Names Eliza and yes. My partner and I run the joint. She is the one who put the fliers out. And I put the flies out for good delivery and service." gives a tilt of her head as to point towards the doors. "Once we get some staff, we'll be open for business should you and your kin like to dive into the evening pleasures."
[12:25] Delilah's amused smirk broke into a toothy grin as the woman spoke. "How interestin'. Oor business is Windgrace and Windgrace. Along with sellin' music, we also dae import an' export. Sae, looks like yer oor competition. No' that their isnae room fer both of us...a lil' healthy competition keeps ye young." Offering the woman a wink, she glanced towards the interior of the club briefly before adding, "We dinnae have a club, however, sae Ah'm sure ye'll be seein' us 'round here when ye open. There's only sae many times ye can gae ta th' pub 'r the cabaret fer one's entertainment." Glancing back to Eliza, she murmured, "Evenin' pleasure's good. Ah get bored sae easily."
[12:33] Eliza Windamier hmm's softly at the bit of competition bit. Curious now. "I see. So what is it you export and import? I'm sure it's not just music." again she gives that wine some more twirls in the glass though not yet taking a sip of it. A darken finger on the sheathed blade begins to tap away making the metal claw chime against the metal hilt. "The Cannery dabs in both drink and pleasures." as she says this she does lean forward some as her voice softens in a lower volume, "Sometimes the two combined." her eyes look straight into your own without a single blink. "Importantly we feed the inner desire." pulls back now to stand more straight. "You and your kin are always welcomed to the Cannery. We open in the late evenings once we fully open. I'm sure my partner will have a grand opening that you'll hear about I'm sure." lifts her wine glass to look at the wine inside. She looks through the liquid to see the light of the day in a different color for a moment before she tosses the wine out to the side on the street.
[12:49] Lilah canted her head to the side, noting the woman's increased attention. "Nae, it's no' just musical equipment. We're the main exporter of aetherite in Callisto. Mainly back ta England. Past that, eh, whatever fowks need. We've imported alcohol fer Murphy's pub, fabric fer the tailor, and other items of a more private nature. We try no' ta judge what oor clients dae with their boxes after they get 'em off oor ships." At the mention of the Cannery's catering to the inner desires, a rumble could be heard from Delilah. Something deep in her throat, animalistic. While there was no change from the soft bemusement in her expression, an ancient being would probably recognize a hunger in her eyes, one she'd been repressing for a while. Aloud, however, all she said was a soft, "Well...now daesna that sound swell...Ah s'pose Ah'll definitely be here the first night yer open proper."
[12:56] Eliza Windamier soaks in the information given about what they export and import. Some stuff they do as well and also many other things. "well...maybe we are a rival in good transport." as she says this she lifts the now empty wine glass up before her and closes one eye as if measuring your head and face into the bowl of the glass to fit. "In some goods. Whatever the case..." lowers the glass down. "Should be interesting. One of us can fill in the gaps." holds the glass out to you now as an offering, "Well then...when the opening day comes, I look forward to seeing you there and perhaps your kin as well."
[13:17] Delilah's brow furrowed as the woman lifted her now empty wine in line with her head, amusement and curiosity playing across her face in equal measures. She wasn't sure what to make of this woman, that much would be obvious in her expression. "Aye, sounds like we're slight rivals...but it daesna mean it must be a bitter rivalry. Ah'm sure there's room fer both of oor businesses, even as small as Callisto may be." For a moment, Delilah stood, quiet, just looking at the woman in her interesting wardrobe. Whatever else she may, she wasn't an actress. This woman knew what she was doing. Finally, she broke into another toothy grin. This time, she allowed her true teeth to be seen, just for a brief flash, sharp and animalistic. "Ah'll look forward ta seein' the flier fer yer grand openin', then. Ah'll make sure ta bring ma family."
[13:21] Eliza Windamier would smile for the first time in that meeting when she notices the teeth though the cover masked it well. The smile lasts but a few seconds before it flatlines. "Until then dear Delilah." and with that she turns to step back in. "It's been a pleasure."
