An incarnation of nature, for some reason taking the form of a man. Much as a dryad is a spirit of a tree, or a naiad that of a river, Lance is a serpent.
Characters from OG Calisto may remember Lance as a taciturn butler, and while he remains taciturn even after the long years in Callisto's absence, the man carries himself with a degree of dignity and confidence that befits a lord, rather than a mere servant.
Characters born after his departure will remember Lance differently. Having left behind a mortal to take care of the Windgraces in his stead, the Lance these characters will remember is that of an aging man, ever punctual and exactingly precise in carrying out his duties, unafraid to critique his masters when necessary, even when it risked his life.
