Antares Lee

At death's door, a sickly child named Antares Lee was offered a role as the mortal agent and familiar of a psychopomp mythoi in the form of a great black dog. In the years that followed, as Antares grew into a young man, he moved to Callisto at the bidding of his mythoi partner, to whom Antares gave the name Tianlang.

Joining Callisto's constables, he worked cold cases, and, under the cover of the Masquerade, tried to help ghosts pass on by finding them justice using the abilities gained both by his pact with Tianlang and through his own study. Though he gleaned something was amiss with the border between life and death in Callisto, he failed to fully unravel the mystery before the fall of the Death Gate.

As the Death Gate fell, Tianlang sought to protect his familiar, dragging Antares into a liminal space between life and death where he would be safe. However, the temporal ripples caused by the fall of the Death Gate made it nearly impossible Tianlang to gauge how much time had passed or when to return, and when Antares emerged, though he did so unscathed, he did so into a world much changed...
